The CNC Programmer develops part programs using Catia V5 to control the machining and processing of metal components on automated machine tools and equipment. This role uses Vericut software to validate programs before they are released to production.

- Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine programming requirements.
- Calculate dimensions, tool selections, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Create geometric layouts from graphic displays.
- Determine reference points, machine cutting paths, and the sequence of machine operations.
- Run computer simulations to confirm that programs and machinery function correctly and produce parts that meet customer specifications.
- Observe trial runs with internal customers to verify program accuracy.
- Revise programs to eliminate errors and retest to confirm that issues are resolved.
- Modify existing programs to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to support part programming and design requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Catia V5 6R2023 certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of aerospace CNC machine programming experience required.
Other Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and accurately interpret shop blueprints, sketches, and other technical instructions.
- Demonstrated basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fraction conversions.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and editing programs.
- Demonstrated reliability, with consistent performance and attendance.
- Proficiency with Catia V5 required; experience with Vericut and iCAM preferred.
