Janitorial Facility Cleaning / Sweeper
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Facility Cleaner to assist with maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Due to increased dust in the facility, this individual will be responsible for continuously sweeping the assigned building and removing trash throughout the workday.
This position is focused specifically on floor sweeping and trash removal.
Responsibilities
- Sweep floors throughout the assigned building to remove dust and debris.
- Continuously monitor work areas and re-sweep as needed throughout the shift.
- Empty trash cans and dispose of trash in designated areas.
- Help prevent excessive buildup of dust and debris in work areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and instructions.
- Perform other related general cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous general labor, warehouse, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Comfortable performing repetitive sweeping and cleaning throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and workplace safety.
- Ability to follow directions and stay productive throughout the shift.
Work Environment
- Warehouse/industrial environment.
- Position may involve higher-than-normal levels of dust.
- Appropriate PPE will be provided/required based on facility safety procedures.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, sweeping, and trash removal throughout the shift.
