Position Summary
The Business Office Supervisor
oversees daily administrative and financial operations related to patient billing, insurance follow-up, collections, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle management. This position supervises the billing team, credential specialist, and medical records coordinator while ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant business office operations.
The Supervisor serves as a resource for staff, physicians, patients, and insurance representatives and works closely with the Director of Administrative Services and Human Resources to support team performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
Compensation:
$62,400 - $72,800
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the billing team, credentialing specialist, and medical records coordinator, including scheduling, timesheets, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Coordinate daily and monthly financial close, reconciliation, cash receipt posting, and deposits.
- Oversee insurance follow-up and assist staff with complex billing and reimbursement issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and payer requirements, including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and commercial insurance guidelines.
- Maintain relationships with major insurance payer representatives to resolve issues and improve reimbursement.
- Develop and maintain billing department policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with medical billing, insurance reimbursement, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle management.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to coach, develop, and hold staff accountable.
