Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail and consistently produce quality work.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Establish and prioritize daily tasks to meet scheduled production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
- Stay current on TPM requirements and perform basic mechanical adjustments on equipment as needed.
- Accurately enter OEE information into the OEE Control Document spreadsheet located on the company server.
- Maintain compliance with all company safety requirements and 5-S standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications while applying shop math to Client out and fabricate parts and assemblies.
- Grind, sand, clean, and prepare work areas and components as required.
- Safely and effectively operate grinders, sanders, rivet guns, saws, air tools, and other equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform all functions and responsibilities associated with Door Builder "A” and Door Builder "B” positions.
- Play an active role in training and developing Door Builders at all skill levels.
- Consistently perform all assigned operations while meeting established quality, safety, and production time standards.
- Identify and communicate equipment, material, or production issues to the appropriate supervisor or team member.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with all company policies, rules of conduct, attendance requirements, and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Properly handle hazardous waste and ensure all waste is placed in the appropriate designated container.
- Keep all satellite and storage containers properly closed unless actively adding or removing waste.
- Maintain familiarity with the company's Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan.
- Understand and follow established spill response procedures and evacuation routes.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
