Brazer / Mechanical Assembler

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Brazer / Mechanical Assembler to perform brazing and mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and production requirements.
This position requires hands-on brazing experience along with the ability to work with assembly tools, fixtures, blueprints, and inspection equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform brazing of components and assemblies according to work instructions and customer specifications
- Prepare parts and materials for brazing, including cleaning, positioning, and fitting components
- Assemble mechanical and sheet metal components using hand tools, fixtures, and production equipment
- Inspect brazed joints and completed assemblies for quality, workmanship, and proper fit
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Identify defects or inconsistencies and communicate quality concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
- Assist with additional assembly and production duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous brazing experience required
- Induction brazing experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of mechanical or manufacturing assembly experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Experience using hand tools, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and visual quality inspection skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience preferred
- Soldering experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections with corrected vision of 20/20
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Must be able to wear required PPE
- Must be available to work overtime as needed
