Boom Assembly Mechanic
Pay:$20–$26/hr
+ $2/hr shift differential for 3rd shift!
Shift:
Monday - Friday 6a-2:30p or Monday–Thursday, 8:00pm–6:00am (Overtime as needed)
Build heavy-duty boom trucks from the ground up!
Essential Job Functions
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, including weld symbols
- Install inner sections, reels, accessories, wear pads, hoses, winches, and cables
- Use conventional and precision measuring tools
- Complete inspections, certifications, and documentation
- Build, repair, and modify equipment to meet project specifications
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Follow attendance and punctuality expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good math and measurement abilities
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Access)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve problems professionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous mechanical experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to lift from floor to overhead positions
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Use hands and arms regularly for pulling, gripping, lifting, and tool operation
- Safely climb ladders, steps, and trucks as needed
