Nesco Resource is now hiring for a Block Tender / Cuber working in a concrete plant.
Position Summary
The Cuber is responsible for stacking, inspecting, and preparing concrete blocks, pavers, or masonry products for storage and shipment. This position ensures products meet quality standards, are stacked safely and accurately, and production flows efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Stack concrete blocks, bricks, pavers, or other masonry products according to company specifications.
- Inspect finished products for defects, damage, cracks, chips, or other quality issues.
- Remove defective products from the production line and notify the Block Tender or Supervisor of quality concerns.
- Prepare and secure product cubes for storage, transport, or shipment using strapping, wrapping, or other packaging methods.
- Assist the Block Tender in monitoring production flow and maintaining efficient operation of the block machine.
- Keep work areas clean and free of debris to maintain a safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with routine equipment cleaning and minor maintenance as directed.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when properly trained and authorized.
- Work cooperatively with production team members to meet daily production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
