Responsibilities
- Read work orders and follow verbal instructions to identify materials and production requirements.
- Feed, stack, jog, and move materials on and off bindery and finishing equipment.
- Neatly stack finished product on skids for the next stage of production.
- Box, strap, label, and skid products according to production tickets.
- Operate box taping and manual/automatic strapping equipment.
- Use a manual pallet jack and carts to move materials and finished products as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse or manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to follow work instructions and safely operate around production equipment.
- Previous bindery, printing, manufacturing, or production equipment experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic industrial safety practices.
- Stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.
- Perform repetitive grasping and handling motions.
- Lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. frequently.
- Push, pull, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
- Work in a noisy manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.
