HR Assistant / Office Clerk
Location: Aurora Distribution Center
Work Schedule
- Primary schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Candidates must have flexibility to support employees across three shifts.
- Occasional schedule adjustment to 10:00 AM–6:00 PM may be required based on business needs.
Position Overview
The HR Assistant / Office Clerk will provide onsite administrative and human resources support to the Management Team at the Aurora Distribution Center. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and employees while assisting with recruiting, employee documentation, engagement activities, and general office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Office Support
- Serve as the Distribution Center receptionist and office clerk.
- Welcome visitors and employees and provide exceptional customer service.
- Answer questions and proactively troubleshoot issues.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Distribution Manager.
- Perform general office, filing, and clerical duties.
Human Resources Support
- Assist with hourly recruiting activities.
- Create and maintain employee personnel files.
- Support filing and other HR-related documentation.
- Provide administrative support for HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and business information.
Employee Engagement
- Create, communicate, coordinate, and implement employee appreciation activities.
- Support initiatives that promote a positive and engaged workplace.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Two-year college degree preferred.
- Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
