Associate Director, Business Insights & Analytics – HCP Media

Position Overview

The Associate Director, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) – HCP Media will partner across teams to evolve best-in-class analytical approaches and measurement practices for digital and direct Healthcare Professional (HCP) Media.

This individual will collaborate closely with HCP Media, Omnichannel, Marketing, Business Insights & Analytics, Technology, Media Agency teams, and other cross-functional partners. The Associate Director will serve as a player-coach, developing enterprise-wide analytical approaches while helping others adopt and effectively deliver these capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings experience with HCP media and thrives in a constantly evolving, data-driven environment. This individual should have a demonstrated track record of using analytics to influence key business decisions while working with a diverse group of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This position reports to the Senior Director, BI&A Media Product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of current HCP media execution and performance, brand and business unit strategies, media objectives, and available data sources.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance existing analytical solutions or develop new approaches that improve media efficiency, effectiveness, and measurement.
  • Collaborate with BI&A expertise and delivery teams, including U.S.- and India-based teams, throughout analytical discovery and development.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize analytical approaches, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure analytical methodologies and code are clearly documented to increase scalability, reusability, and efficiency.
  • Identify and prioritize capability investments and data requirements needed to support BI&A and U.S. media objectives.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure business decisions are supported by strong analytical evidence and objective, data-driven insights.
  • Effectively challenge and influence stakeholders ranging from individual contributors through senior leadership.
  • Coordinate learning and knowledge-sharing across BI&A teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure analytical insights and best practices are shared and applied across brands.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy requirements and contractual obligations related to the use of data.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Direct experience analyzing digital and/or direct media performance.
  • Experience with HCP Media, HCP Marketing, and/or Omnichannel strategies.
  • Knowledge of R, SQL, SSIS, or another statistical/programming language.
  • Strong Excel modeling capabilities.
  • Experience working with first- and third-party data sources, including:
    • CRM data
    • SOA data
    • DMP platforms
    • DSP platforms
    • Google Analytics
    • Log files
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience applying statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience working with prescription claims data.
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex information, communicate findings clearly, and educate others.
  • Demonstrated success influencing without direct authority, including interactions with senior leadership.
  • Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • High level of motivation with a demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to challenging business problems.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Location: Indianapolis, IN
  • Work Arrangement: Indianapolis-based; remote candidates may be considered.
  • Travel: Less than 10%.
