Growing industry leader in the Capital District is looking for an Assistant Controller as they continue to grow their finance team. Candidates would be responsible for:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements
- Overseeing the financial close process; including month, quarterly, and annual closings
- Revenue recognition and client billing processes
- Assist with the maintenance of complex internal controls; working with external auditors on compliance
- Helping develop effective policy and process improvement within the finance team
- Perform cash flow analysis and related financial reports
- General ledger maintenance including entries and reconciliations
- Special projects as assigned
Candidates qualifications should include:
- Bachelors or Masters in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of professional experience; public accounting preferred
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills; experience utilizing an ERP system
- Excellent communicative and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and experience working in a deadline driven environment
