Assembly Technician
Location: Tulsa, OK
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble, fabricate, and inspect precision mechanical components and assemblies used in highly regulated industries. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced working from engineering drawings and work instructions in a production environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Fabricate, fit, drill, trim, deburr, grind, and prepare components for final assembly.
- Install mechanical hardware, fasteners, bearings, bushings, and other assembly components.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections to ensure products meet company and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate production documentation.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two or more years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, industrial production, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience using common hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, heavy equipment, or precision fabrication.
- Familiarity with mechanical fastening methods, bearings, bushings, rivets, threaded inserts, and adhesives.
- Experience working in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
