Assembly Lead - Aerospace
Shift: 1st, 7am-4pm
Pay: $25 - $27 per hour, DOE
Position Summary
The Assembly Lead Technician coordinates daily activities related to the assembly and production of finished goods, following detailed manufacturing processes to ensure accurate output according to established specifications. This role is also responsible for upholding all quality and safety guidelines within the department.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to use basic shop tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic understanding of aircraft hardware installation.
- Familiarity with surface finishes and sheet metal assembly.
- Competencies/Knowledge: deburring practices, aircraft component assembly, rivet installation.
- Skills: basic math, deburring, applying surface finishes, and assembling components.
- Personal Characteristics: team player, able to follow instructions, strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and use calipers and other measuring equipment.
- Properly deburr sheet metal parts and machined parts.
- Understand finish callouts and apply them correctly.
- Install rivets proficiently.
- Prior experience in deburring or aircraft assembly.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per day.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- Capable of operating a forklift, plasma cutter, drill press, and grinders.
