Job Summary:
Responsible for assembling heavy-duty suspension components and related products according to company and customer specifications. The Assembly Operator uses pneumatic and hand tools, performs quality inspections, follows production specifications, and maintains a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assemble products using pneumatic and hand tools according to specifications.
- Read and follow production schedules, work instructions, and build specifications.
- Use torque wrenches and basic measurement equipment to ensure proper assembly.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
- Identify defective parts or assembly issues and report them appropriately.
- Accurately record production activities and required production data.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with team members and technical support personnel to resolve production issues.
- Support continuous improvement and downtime activities.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred or required depending on position.
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to read and understand basic production instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work overtime as production demands require.
- Must be safety-conscious and able to follow established procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and grasping.
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required by the position
