Nesco Resource is seeking dependable Assembler I professionals to join an optical manufacturing team in West Henrietta, NY. This temp-to-hire opportunity is perfect for candidates looking to build a career in precision manufacturing. Associates will assemble optical components, perform quality inspections, and support production in a clean, team-oriented environment while receiving on-the-job training.
Pay Rate:
- $21.00 - $24.00/Hour 10% Shift Differential
- 5% Bonus Eligibility Upon Permanent Hire
Shift(s):
- Monday - Friday; B Shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Job Duties:
- Assemble optical components according to work instructions
- Perform basic assembly using hand tools and fixtures
- Inspect components for quality and proper fit
- Handle delicate glass and optical components carefully
- Follow assembly procedures and quality standards
- Maintain accurate production documentation
- Notify supervisors of defects or production concerns
- Maintain clean workstations and organized materials
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Support additional production tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Reliable attendance
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Clean manufacturing environment
- Frequent sitting and repetitive hand movements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent visual inspection work
- PPE required
