Position Summary
The employee assembles fabricated parts at designated workstations and performs testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to ensure compliance with product specifications and tolerance requirements. The role involves the use of hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to established procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble fabricated parts and components at assigned workstations.
Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet product specifications and tolerance requirements.
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble products according to detailed instructions.
Identify units that do not meet quality or testing standards and perform necessary repairs or corrections.
Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Apprenticeship and/or formal training in a related specialty area may be required.
0 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines with close supervision.
Working Conditions
Works under immediate supervision.
Primary job duties do not typically require independent judgment.
Reports directly to a supervisor or manager.
Physical Requirements and Special Considerations
Regular lifting of approximately 10 to 15 pounds with minimal repetition.
Minimal exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical hazards.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
