Nesco Resource is currently hiring for an Assembler / Backup Machine Operator for Builders FirstSource. This is a great opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will assemble interior building products while learning to operate production equipment as a backup machine operator.
Position Summary
The Assembler is responsible for assembling interior building components and ensuring products meet quality standards. Employees will also be cross-trained to serve as a Backup Machine Operator, assisting with machine operation and production needs as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble interior doors and building components according to production specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices safely and accurately.
- Read and interpret work orders and production instructions.
- Measure materials and verify product dimensions using a tape measure.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the facility.
- Cross-train on production equipment and perform Backup Machine Operator duties when needed.
- Monitor machine operation and report any quality or equipment concerns.
- Meet daily production goals while following all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain production flow.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, construction, or production experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude or machine operating experience is a plus.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of hands for assembling products and operating tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
Pay
- Starting Pay:$17.00 per hour
- Weekly Pay
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
6:00 AM – 5:00 Pm
( depending on needs overtime maybe required)
