AR Analyst

Hybrid – Monday & Friday Remote / Tuesday–Thursday Onsite
Position Overview
The AR Analyst plays a key role in supporting and managing Accounts Receivable operations. This position partners closely with offshore AR Services teams and internal stakeholders to streamline invoice-to-cash processes, improve operational efficiency, and support customer satisfaction.
This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration across departments including Customer Service, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and IT. The ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing trends, identifying process improvements, and acting as a subject matter expert for AR-related systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform account analysis to identify trends, issues, and root causes impacting Accounts Receivable performance
- Develop and implement solution plans to improve AR processes and customer outcomes
- Coordinate with offshore AR support teams and internal departments to resolve issues and meet objectives
- Lead or participate in cross-functional meetings focused on process improvements, training, and issue resolution
- Negotiate and resolve customer account issues within assigned authority levels
- Monitor and support third-party vendors assisting with AR functions
- Respond to inquiries related to:
- Cash application
- Reporting
- Audit compliance
- Invoice delivery
- Maintain relationships with banks, Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Collections, and Customer Service teams
- Perform General Ledger reconciliations during month-end close
- Research and validate payment applications to ensure accuracy
- Serve as a subject matter expert for AR systems, including:
- Testing
- Documentation
- Training
- Requirements gathering
- Troubleshooting
- Assist leadership with scheduling, resource coordination, and project-related tasks as needed
- Support basic project management initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- 2 years of experience within a large Accounts Receivable or transaction-based accounting environment
- 2–4 years of cash application experience preferred
- Experience working within large organizations and high-volume environments
- Familiarity with lockbox functionality
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite:
- Excel
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Experience working in a metrics- or goals-driven environment
- Ability to develop and maintain procedures and policies based on:
- Customer contracts
- Corporate standards
- Department best practices
- Regulatory requirements
- Experience supporting international transactions preferred, including:
- Multi-currency processing
- Compliance
- Tax and duties
- Experience partnering with IT teams for:
- Requirements gathering
- Testing
- Troubleshooting
- Familiarity with enterprise ERP/CRM systems such as:
- SAP
- Oracle
- Experience with electronic transaction methods and tools including:
- EDI
- ACH/CTX
- Ariba
- Web-based procurement portals
- Familiarity with online research and shipping platforms such as:
- UPS
- FedEx
- Bing
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including:
- Scanner
- Copier
- Fax
