APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Looking for an engineering role where you can combine technical expertise, customer collaboration, advanced manufacturing, and real-world problem solving? A growing industrial technology organization is seeking an Applications Engineer to support cutting-edge machine tool and automation projects with both domestic and international impact.
This is a highly visible role offering hands-on involvement in CNC applications, process development, customer solutions, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits:
• 3+ years: $80,000 – $110,000 base salary
• 2 years: $75,000–$80,000 range

Schedule & Travel:
• Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Heavy travel required — approximately one week per month (domestic & international)
• 2–4 multi-week trips annually supporting customer installations and production schedules
• Overtime opportunities available based on business needs
What You'll Do:
• Translate customer technical requirements into practical machine and automation solutions
• Serve as the “Voice of the Customer,” supporting machine usability, production procedures, and operator training
• Conduct applications engineering on CNC metal cutting equipment, including programming, customization, and technical support
• Review specifications, engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, suppliers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle
• Support process improvements, new technologies, safety enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues during implementation and post-installation support
• Present layouts, design concepts, and technical recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering Technology, or related discipline
• 2–5+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial, machine tool, or automation environments
• Strong preference for candidates with CNC machine and machine shop experience
• Experience with manufacturing processes, machine tools, tolerancing, and automation systems
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, lubrication systems, and fabrication processes
• AutoCAD experience required (Electrical AutoCAD preferred)
• ERP and Microsoft Office proficiency required
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills
