Aircraft Component Technician – Technician II

We are seeking skilled and motivated technicians with a passion for aviation repair and a strong mechanical aptitude. Open positions are available across Pneumatic, Rotating, Fuel, Electro/Mechanical, and Hydraulics departments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player who enjoys working with various tools, materials, and specialized testing equipment to test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft components in accordance with OEM and customer specifications.

The Technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, disassembling, and assembling aircraft components while following established procedures and documentation requirements. On-the-job training and oversight will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Test and repair aircraft components using manuals, drawings, procedures, and other approved technical data
  • Follow established procedures and company-provided training
  • Complete required written and electronic forms and reports accurately and legibly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals and objectives
  • Assist with routine shop upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with management, customers, FAA inspectors, airline representatives, and other internal and external contacts

Experience & Skills

  • 3–6 years of experience in an MRO environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Expert knowledge and use of hand tools
  • Proficient with general electrical soldering and/or circuit board-level soldering
  • Ability to accurately follow written instructions and procedures
  • Fluent in English, including speaking, reading, and writing
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Proficient in the inspection, testing, and repair of aircraft components
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must own a basic set of hand tools

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A&P license/certificate not required; preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent manipulation of small to medium-sized components
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hand tools and repair equipment
  • Ability to work with chemicals used for cleaning, lubricating, and painting
