The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer applies technical expertise with responsibility for product and process application to ensure product integrity manufacturing output while leading continuous improvements, working with both labs and factory operations.

Our team develops new or modifies current processes, defines process equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of Ring Laser Gyroscope and MEMS based inertial sensors and IMUs. The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer influences the planning and designing of manufacturing engineering processes by determining parts and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, for both existing and new processes/product technologies. This role strives to maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer supports daily production activities and drives producibility improvement projects in a challenging environment. This position will focus on return goods diagnosis, processing, and re-shipment manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
Provide test and manufacturing support for RLG and MEMS based inertial measurement units (IMUs).
Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends.
Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
Test products & software
Complete failure analysis, manufacturing assembly, and test on returned goods

You Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in STEM field
5+ years experience; manufacturing, test, fabrication, or assembly processes
Must be a U.S Citizen due to contractual requirements

Knowledge of RCCA, Lean, Six Sigma, and FMEA tools and methodologies.
Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May report to an executive or a manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
