Position Overview
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support daily administrative and data management functions within a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with Smurfit *** personnel to enter, organize, maintain, and analyze data across multiple systems while providing general office support.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with computers, have strong attention to detail, and possess the ability to manage a variety of administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided on company-specific software and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain data within various company systems, including:
- SAP
- Meridium
- Microsoft Office applications
- Microsoft Excel
- Other department-specific software programs
- Organize, file, and maintain documentation and records
- Analyze and validate data for accuracy and completeness
- Collect information and data from both office and field environments
- Generate reports and assist with data tracking activities
- Support administrative functions as needed based on business priorities
- Collaborate with internal personnel to ensure accurate and timely information management
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based position
- Occasional work within the manufacturing facility/mill required
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment when needed
- Required to follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while inside the facility
Qualifications
Required
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience with SAP, Meridium, or similar business systems
- Previous administrative, clerical, data entry, or office support experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment

- Training will be provided for job-specific software and processes.
