Accounting Manager
Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will work within the Client Services Department and oversee a team of accountants responsible for managing client relationships and delivering high-quality accounting services. This individual will be responsible for team performance, quality control, workflow management, client engagement profitability, and the development of team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a team of 3–5 accountants, ensuring engagements are completed accurately and on time
- Review client work for accuracy, consistency, and quality
- Oversee the profitability of client engagements
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional services to existing clients
- Train, mentor, and develop team members
- Manage team workflow and resources to meet client deadlines
- Serve as a technical resource for accounting and technology-related issues
- Build and improve processes to increase efficiency and quality
- Provide strategic accounting insights and guidance to clients and internal teams
Qualifications & Experience
- 7–10 years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience working within a mid-sized CPA or accounting firm preferred
- 3–5 years of people management or leadership experience preferred
- Experience preparing and consolidating financial statements and financial reports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong client-service mindset and ability to build trusted relationships
- Proficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms, including QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Familiarity with platforms and tools such as Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, A2X, Bill.com, and Gusto
- Demonstrated ability to build processes and drive operational efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA strongly preferred; Master's degree or MBA preferred
- Experience with e-commerce, SaaS, real estate, inventory management, or internal controls is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary:$110,000–$140,000 annually + performance bonus
