Direct Hire Salary Range: $45-65,000 per year

Our well-established client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the daily accounting functions of its finance team. This individual will handle reconciliations, record financial transactions, and help keep the organization's financial records accurate and up to date.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants hands-on exposure to month-end close, audit preparation, and financial reporting while learning from an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities of the Accountant Job in Williamsport, PA:
Reconciliations and Transactions

• Perform daily and monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations, identifying and correcting errors.
• Record financial transactions accurately in the accounting system under the guidance of senior staff.
• Reconcile petty cash accounts and bank statements in a timely manner.

• Assist senior staff with month-end and quarter-end close.
• Gather and organize documentation for internal and external audits.
• Help prepare balance sheets, income statements, and basic expense reports.
• Support other accounting duties as needed.

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in general accounting, or a relevant accounting internship.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail, strong math skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a team-first approach.

• Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or a similar accounting system.
• Exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, or audit preparation.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
