Account Operations Associate

Pay Rate: Up to 20/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-4:30
We are seeking a Contract Account Operations Associate to join our client's team to provide high-quality operational support to members and internal staff. This position will support the daily operations of account-related functions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, departmental procedures, and credit union policies.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with sensitive financial information, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Verification of Deposit requests within established turnaround times.
- Perform mail processing, including sorting, date stamping, and return mail.
- Review and resolve assigned service requests according to established procedures and service standards.
- Perform daily reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
- Research outstanding reconciliation items and coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain daily and monthly statistical reporting.
- Process Medicaid and Medicare requests as assigned.
- Handle account maintenance related to monitoring, returned mail, and SSRS reports.
- Provide phone support to internal and external members.
- Assist other Operations teams as needed to maintain a high level of member service.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in accordance with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Protect confidential member and financial information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Basic banking or deposit-account knowledge preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven financial operations environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technology proficiency.
- Experience with reconciliations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including creating and manipulating spreadsheets and generating reports.
- Excellent communication and customer/member service skills.
- Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to be bonded is required.
