Overview
Join our dynamic team as a 3rd Shift Packaging Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Packaging Operator to ensure the production of high-quality distilled products. This position involves working on the 3rd shift, focusing on maintaining safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in our packaging operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bottle turning, partition removal, case stacking, and product inspection across all packaging lines.
- Ensure timely and accurate production of quality packaging.
- Manually perform tasks to produce finished case goods as per the work schedule.
- Monitor equipment for malfunctions and report issues to supervisors promptly.
- Ensure compliance with packaging procedures and quality standards.
- Adhere to GMP, ISO, and food safety standards in packaging operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve quality risks.
- Follow PPE safety requirements and promote a safe working environment.
- Communicate deficiencies affecting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to supervisors.
- Participate in continuous improvement actions and Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS).
- Perform basic maintenance and complete necessary forms for work orders on packaging line equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including working in other areas during peak periods.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and navigate a production environment physically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Customer service orientation.
- Experience with tasks such as bottle turning, case stacking, and partition removal.
