CNC Lathe Operator – 2nd Shift Pay: $19–$21/hr
We are hiring a CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate 3-axis CNC lathe equipment in the production of precision metal and/or plastic components. The right candidate will bring solid machining fundamentals, blueprint reading ability, and hands-on experience with precision measurement tools.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC lathe machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Load raw materials and monitor machining operations
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards throughout production
- Troubleshoot machining issues and escalate as appropriate
- Perform routine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- 2 years of CNC lathe operating experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with 3-axis CNC equipment
- Ability to read blueprints; GD&T familiarity a plus
- Knowledge of G-code and CNC controls a plus
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
