Overview

Join our dynamic team as an operator responsible for the efficient functioning of CP Lines on the 2nd Floor. This role involves managing the polymerization extrusion process and the chip handling process, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The position requires rotating 12-hour shifts with some overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of CP Lines, ensuring quality and quantity of production.
  • Monitor and manage all functions of the polymerization extrusion and chip handling processes.
  • Transfer products to silos, trucks, or boxes as directed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct color analysis, visual inspections, and chip weight assessments on samples.
  • Enter sample analysis results into the database and report any abnormalities.
  • Multitask effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment.
  • Follow instructions to produce quality products safely.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to differentiate colors relevant to job duties.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Experience operating a forklift.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in polymer extrusion.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain machinery.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for more than 8 hours.
  • Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl occasionally.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, and push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to wear and use prescribed personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
