Job Description: CNC Operator
In Gastonia, NC, a CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to produce precision metal parts
. The role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup:Prepare and set up CNC and laser cutting machines based on blueprints and work orders. Load, align, and secure raw materials or metal sheets.
- Operation & Monitoring:Oversee machine performance, make necessary setting adjustments, and verify CNC programs to ensure optimal production.
- Quality Control:Inspect finished parts for precision and dimensional tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintenance:Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot basic issues, and keep a clean, safe work area
