Scope of Position:
Responsible for the overall management, administration, employee supervision and manufacturing operations of the production floor. Ensures responsiveness to customer specifications, maintains quality control, safety guidelines and compliance with corporate policies and operating parameters.
Can work with one or multiple product lines or areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:

- Oversees production process and executes plans to increase productivity while maintaining quality, efficient use of materials, machines, and human resources
- Evaluates operating results to ensure shipments are timely and consistent with customer specifications, quality guidelines, and production scheduling
- Supervises production staff and ensures daily plant operations are functioning efficiently in terms of costs, methods, quality and quantity of production, operations , safety, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assists in computer reporting of order write-ups, and develops streamlined electronic methods of production recordkeeping
- Interfaces with managerial personnel to access, purchase and/or repair production equipment
- Coordinates and schedules work to be able to maintain schedule
- Provides training for the proper use of equipment
- Evaluates and disciplines employees
- Explains and enforces company policy
- Observes and employs all safety rules, practices and procedures
- Provides a clean, safe, and orderly work for all employees
- Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
The Plant Supervisor must pos sess the minimum knowledge listed below:
- High School diploma required, Associates degree preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Two years prior supervisory experience
- Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication at diverse levels
- Strong analytical, organizational and motivational skills
- Must be able to get along with others
- Ability to prioritize and function under pressure
- Must understand Company policies
