Assembly Packer

Location: Statesville, NC
Pay:$15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday with mandatory overtime

• First week: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

• Beginning the second week: Start time moves to 5:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Packer to assist with the assembly, inspection, and packaging of industrial hoses. T his is more than a traditional packing position. The role requires strong hand-eye coordination, the ability to work with small tools, and a high level of attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare industrial hoses according to detailed work instructions.
• Use small hand tools such as screwdrivers, scissors, thin blades, and similar items.
• Attach cuffs to the ends of hoses using a heat-melting process when required.
• Inspect hoses and cuffs for defects and ensure all finished products meet quality standards.
• Coil completed hoses and package them into bags or boxes.
• Read and accurately follow printed work orders and detailed assembly instructions.
• Keep pace with a fast-moving production line while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Report damaged materials, product defects, or assembly concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Comfortable using small hand tools.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written instructions and work orders.
• Able to perform repetitive assembly and packaging tasks accurately.
• Dependable and capable of staying focused throughout the shift.
• Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand at a workstation for approximately 7–8 hours per shift, excluding scheduled breaks.
• Some workstations may rotate, while others require employees to remain at the same station for most of the shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to work safely around heat-melting equipment and sharp hand tools.
