Our client is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Maintenance Technician II to support maintenance operations within a fast-paced distribution center. This position will serve as the second maintenance technician on site, making the ability to work independently, troubleshoot equipment, and prioritize maintenance activities with minimal supervision essential.

The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, completing work orders and inspections, and helping maintain reliable operation of facility and material-handling equipment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance professional who can independently diagnose problems, perform repairs, and take ownership of equipment reliability and uptime.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

  • Base Pay:$33.00–$38.00/hour, depending on experience

  • Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 6:00 PM–10:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive and preventative maintenance on facility and material-handling equipment.

  • Perform corrective maintenance and repairs when equipment failures occur.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to identify the source of failures.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and take appropriate action to restore operations.

  • Maintain conveyor systems, forklifts, lifts, and other material-handling equipment.

  • Inspect equipment to identify potential issues before they result in unplanned downtime.

  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment conditions within the CMMS.

  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment condition, operational needs, and potential impact to uptime.

  • Work independently to diagnose and resolve routine and complex maintenance issues.

  • Communicate equipment issues, completed repairs, and outstanding maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.

  • Follow all safety procedures, maintenance standards, and company policies.

  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives as needed.
