Candidate Experience

* 10+ years of CNC/N/C machining experience in aerospace manufacturing, including GKN Aerospace and Magellan Aerospace.
* Extensive experience operating and setting up CNC mills, including 5-axis and Cincinnati mills, in high-precision aerospace production environments.
* Experienced with CNC machine operation, setup, fixture changes, offsets, and program editing; does not have CNC programming experience.
* Strong aerospace machining background, including 5-axis machining and manual machining of airplane tracks at GKN Aerospace.
* Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacture components to required specifications and quality standards.
* Experienced with quality control and in-process inspection, using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and LPI/LPT (liquid penetrant testing) equipment.
* Cross-trained and trained new associates on CNC machine operation, setup procedures, production processes, quality requirements, and safe work practices.
* Worked closely with Cincinnati and Gantree equipment, along with CNC mills, grinders, and other aerospace manufacturing equipment.
* Brings hands-on experience identifying machining and quality issues and making appropriate adjustments to maintain production and part quality.
* Bilingual English/Spanish with strong mechanical aptitude, aerospace manufacturing experience, leadership skills, and a proven ability to work independently and train others.
