Job title: Sales Representative
Location: Solon, OH
Shift: 1 st (Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with some OT as needed)
Salary:
- Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization's products/services.
- Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
- Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Tracks monthly/annual sales figures. Reviews trends and historical data of customer sales and products.
- Develops an annual business plan in conjunction with Managing Director, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, focusing on meeting or exceeding sales quota. Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. Keeps management informed of sales efforts by submitting regular activity reports.
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Assists in the development of annual marketing strategies including generation of marketing literature and product promotions.
- Participates in trade shows and conventions.
- Maintains all customer information in ACT software (customer contact software).
- Contributes to team effort as needed.

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience including management skills.
- 3-5 years of sales experience (knowledge of non-ferrous metals preferred).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
- Background in working with manufacturing companies.
- Valid driver's license and willing to travel.
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Sage/MAS, Act, Constant Contact or any other ERP software is desired.
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
