Nesco Resource is looking for a 2 nd Shift Intermediate Wire Drawer located in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Shift: Monday-Friday 3PM-11PM (Ability to train on 1st shift 7AM-3:30PM)
Pay: $19.50-$20/Hour (with 10% shift differential) depending on experience
Position Summary: The Intermediate Wire Drawer is responsible for setting up and operating wire drawing machines to reduce wire diameter to precise specifications. This role ensures product quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety and production standards in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate intermediate wire drawing machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
- Select work assignments based on delivery due dates or production priorities as directed by supervision.
- Review operation sheets, specifications, and instructions to prepare materials and equipment.
- Perform measurements, manual and visual inspections, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor production throughout the process to ensure consistent output and accuracy.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding quality, maintenance, safety, or production concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Participate in annual hazardous waste handling and RCRA training.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or wire drawing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or trade school training preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and move up to 100 lbs.
- Requires bending, walking, reaching, and manual dexterity.
- Must have visual and auditory acuity suitable for an industrial environment.
- Occasional exposure to dust, lubricants, or temperature fluctuations.
- Ability to perform basic math and read, write, and speak English.
