Nesco Resource is looking for quality inspectors to join our team in the Columbus Ohio region.

Schedule

Schedule: 8 am-8 pm or 8 pm-8 am. Some are 8-4. It can vary.  Starting, they will be 8-4 Monday through Friday for 30 days, then they will go on their assigned shift. The schedule will rotate every 2 months from days to nights.

Payrate
Pay rate starts at $21.00 hourly but can vary depending on experience. 

Summary

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for selected elements of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Essential Responsibilities

Quality Operations & Support

  • Serve as a backup to Quality Technicians during absences, providing coverage for:

    • Equipment verification and calibration to maintain measurement accuracy.

    • Testing and analytical procedures to verify product conformance.

    • Certificate of Analysis (CoA) creation, review, and timely delivery to customers.

  • Maintain and manage the Quality Module within the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and user engagement for:

    • Gauge and device management.

    • Inspection setup and control planning.


Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Review and analyze ERP-generated Statistical Process Control (SPC) reports to monitor product and process consistency.

  • Communicate quality trends and findings to production and management teams, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that reduce variability and improve efficiency.


Documentation & Specification Control

  • Develop, revise, and maintain product specifications, SOPs, and work instructions to support operators in accept/reject decision-making.

  • Ensure all documentation aligns with company standards and customer requirements.

  • Work with the Quality Manager to standardize documentation templates and create boilerplate responses for document requests.


Training & Coaching

  • Coach and mentor production associates on quality procedures and standards.

  • Provide performance input consistent with the established skills matrix to support employee development.


Auditing & Compliance

  • Conduct internal audits of manufacturing and distribution processes to ensure compliance with GMP and QMS requirements.

  • Document audit findings, publish detailed reports, and follow up on corrective actions.


Nonconformance & Material Control

  • Lead the Nonconformance (NC) Hold and Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes, including:

    • Issuing and tracking RMAs.

    • Monitoring and organizing physical hold areas.

    • Publishing NC-hold status updates and auditing the NC-hold database.

  • Accept or reject materials based on CoA results and defined quality standards.


Customer & Supplier Relations

  • Investigate and document customer complaints and claims, prepare formal responses, and maintain complaint databases.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.


Quality System & Performance Support

  • Partner with the Quality Manager to:

    • Continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).

    • Monitor performance metrics and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    • Develop, implement, and track quality improvement initiatives.
