Job Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Henrietta, NY
Summary: We're seeking a CNC Programmer and Machinist to support one of our clients with machining precision components for critical manufacturing applications. This position involves programming, setup, and operation of CNC mills, manual grinders, and lathes using Mastercam software. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and interface across departments including Engineering and Quality to drive production efficiency and accuracy.
Shift:
- 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Pay:
- $30.00 – $35.00/hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, manual grinders, and lathes using Mastercam
- Interpret 3D CAD and 2D blueprints with strong GD&T understanding
- Collaborate with Engineering, QC, and Production on tooling needs
- Create geometric layouts and write/modify CNC programs for efficiency
- Fabricate required tooling and fixtures
- Plan tooling and stock for active/future work orders
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor engineering updates
- Maintain clean, organized work environment and follow ISO procedures
- Assist in training of junior machinists
- Engage in team problem-solving initiatives and vendor communications
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years' experience as a machinist with CNC programming responsibilities
- Minimum 3 years of Mastercam programming experience required
- Strong math, computer, and communication skills
- Experience with 2D/3D design interpretation
- Detail-oriented and self-directed
- Familiarity with internal tooling processes and ISO compliance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and handling equipment
- Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment
