Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Warehouse Associate I for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Garland, TX. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse and inventory experience, along with basic quality assurance knowledge. Forklift experience is not required, but candidates must be willing to learn sit-down propane forklift operation and will be trained on the job.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform inventory control and ensure accurate product counts

Inspect pallets and verify shipments before they are sent out

Operate or learn to operate a sit-down propane forklift

Pull and receive inventory into proper warehouse locations

Secure loads using shrink wrap and appropriate bracing tools

Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned warehouse aisles

Report any product, equipment, or forklift damage to a supervisor immediately

Follow all company SOPs, safety guidelines, and process sheets

Assist with shipping, receiving, production staging, and interdepartmental requests

Participate in year-end inventory counts and overtime when necessary

Help with warehouse maintenance, including rack and beam replacement
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Inventory and warehouse experience required
-
Some quality control experience preferred
-
Willingness to learn forklift operation (training provided)

Basic math and record-keeping skills

Ability to read and follow written instructions in English

Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and basic tools (nail gun, hammer, etc.)

Good attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:

Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
-
Stand, sit, bend, squat, and stoop for extended periods

Reach overhead and climb ladders as needed

Operate hand tools and warehouse equipment
-
Use hands and arms to operate forklift controls safely
Education & Experience:
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
6 months to 2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment

Prior warehouse safety training preferred
Preferred but Not Required:
-
Forklift experience (sit-down propane)
-
Quality control or pallet inspection experience

Shipping and receiving background
