Manufacturing Manager – Direct Hire

$65,000–$80,000 salary up to 5% annual bonus
Looking to take your manufacturing leadership experience to the next level? This is a hands-on management role with a well-established manufacturer in Rochester, NY. You’ll lead a team of up to 40 employees across multiple shifts, overseeing lamination, epoxy and mechanical assembly, die cutting, and knife cutting operations. The role offers a mix of daily production oversight, team coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives—with the ability to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a production team of up to 40 employees across various processes and shifts

Monitor and drive daily safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance

Execute production schedules, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of work orders

Conduct daily team meetings and effectively communicate priorities and expectations

Reinforce safety practices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Provide hands-on leadership in training, performance feedback, and team development

Identify process improvements and ensure equipment and materials are in place to meet goals

Monitor and report production results and KPIs to leadership

Maintain work within AS9000 quality system requirements
Qualifications and Skills

Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment

Strong organizational, scheduling, and leadership skills

Solid blueprint reading ability; able to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges

Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement focus

Working knowledge of AS9000 or other quality systems preferred

Must be comfortable with manual tasks and lifting 20–30 lbs regularly

Strong verbal and written communication skills
