Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematic drawings, engineering prints/specifications and/or manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions.

· Install and maintain the Plant's electrical system to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting and other electrical applications in accordance with engineering specifications, codes, regulations and safety requirements.

· Diagnose, isolate, and correct electrical, mechanical and hydraulic problems which include replacement and adjustment of components, integral units, motors, controls, switches, standard devices, valves and gear.

· Utilize appropriate test instruments, gear and equipment to test and insure compatibility and safety of all circuits, components, switches, controls, etc., to assure correct performance, quality and operation.

· Strictly follows all safety requirements for ladder usage, hand and power tool operation, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeeping.

· Ability to climb in overhead structures, beneath machine and in close quarters while performing analysis and repair work.

· Working knowledge of AC and DC control circuits, including single and 3 phase motor controls.

· Perform installation, start-up and repair services for production machinery.

Requirements

Vocational or high school graduate plus an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent appropriate training required

· Broad knowledge of recognized trade or craft techniques and applications, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic principles

· Excellent trouble shooting abilities

· Good mental and visual abilities, with good dexterity and high attention to detail

· Working knowledge of AC & DC control circuits, including single and three-phase motor controls

· Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

· Familiarity with VFD Motor Controllers and PLCs

· Ability to perform electrical testing and troubleshooting

· Good math skills which includes knowledge of fraction principles
