Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Standards Leadership: Develop, review, and update environmental and safety standards to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and company policies.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Select and manage the appropriate personal protective equipment for our team.
- Inspection Coordination: Coordinate inspections with MIOSHA, DOL, and other regulatory bodies.
- Legislation Updates: Stay current with the latest legislative requirements and ensure our practices reflect them.
- Input on Manufacturing Processes: Provide valuable input during the development stages of manufacturing process equipment.
- Waste Management: Oversee and coordinate the storage, handling, shipment, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Reporting: Deliver meaningful statistics and reports to management to support ongoing workplace health, safety, and loss control improvements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage written consent agreements with State or Federal governments and maintain associated records.
- New Hire Orientation: Participate in the health and safety orientation for new employees.
- Committee Coordination: Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and activities.
- Worker's Compensation: Assist with the administration of Worker’s Compensation.
- Accident Monitoring: Monitor all accident investigations and ensure adherence to safety rules.
- EMS Management: Serve as the Environmental Management Representative, overseeing and improving the EMS process.
- Training and Audits: Perform EMS, Auditor, Emergency Response Plan, and ISO14001 training, and lead ISO14001 external audits.

- Education: Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: At least five years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Certifications: O.S.H.A 40-hour certification is a must.
