Production Operator – All Shifts Available
Shift Schedules
1st Shift:
Monday – Friday | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
2nd Shift:
Monday – Friday | 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM
3rd Shift:
Sunday Night – Thursday Night | 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Compensation
- Starting at $20.00/hour for candidates with 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Shift Premiums:
- 2nd Shift: Additional $1.00/hour
- 3rd Shift: Additional $1.50/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Production Operators to join our manufacturing team across all shifts. Operators play a critical role in supporting extrusion, mixing, and packaging operations while ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or compounding environment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.
Essential Responsibilities
Extrusion Operations
- Operate extrusion equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform machine startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers
- Set up and operate equipment according to established procedures and specifications
- Monitor control systems and make process adjustments as needed
- Remove, clean, and reinstall extruder die heads during setup and changeover activities
- Troubleshoot minor process and equipment issues
Mixing Operations
- Operate mixers and blending equipment to produce quality compounds
- Verify raw materials and prepare batches according to production requirements
- Load resins, chemicals, pigments, and additives following detailed work instructions
- Measure, weigh, and inspect materials to ensure accuracy
- Generate and manage barcode labels for production tracking
- Maintain accurate batch and production records
Packaging Operations
- Package, label, and store finished products according to customer specifications
- Verify product weights, labels, and packaging requirements
- Collect product samples and coordinate testing with Quality/Laboratory personnel
- Assist with month-end inventory counts of packaging materials and supplies
- Maintain organization and inventory accuracy in packaging and warehouse areas
General Duties
- Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Complete required production documentation accurately and timely
- Submit corrective and preventive action requests when necessary
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in compounding, extrusion, plastics manufacturing, chemical processing, or a similar production environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Experience operating extruders, mixers, packaging equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery
- Familiarity with SI units and basic measurement conversions
- Experience using control systems, inventory software, and labeling systems
- Strong math, reading, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
