Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
- Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with training
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Basic reading, math, and computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must successfully complete a Physical Abilities Test (POET)
Working Conditions
- Schedule may vary based on business needs
- May require rotating shifts, including weekends
- Overtime flexibility is required
- No travel required
Responsibilities
This role supports an antigen production laboratory, performing both aseptic and non-aseptic manufacturing processes.
Key Duties Include:
- Perform aseptic processes such as antigen inoculation, cell culture preparation, and harvesting
- Perform non-aseptic processes, including handling live animal virus during tissue harvesting and waste management
- Operate and assist with setup of manufacturing equipment throughout the production cycle
- Execute manual and/or automated operations, including basic maintenance and support tasks
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards in all work areas
- Perform facility decontamination according to approved procedures
- Maintain accurate, concurrent documentation (e.g., charts, logbooks, batch records)
- Identify and report safety, compliance, environmental, or process deviations to appropriate personnel
- Support hazardous waste handling, labeling, and management (with proper training)
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Assist with weekly reporting as assigned
- Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and meetings to enhance job skills and knowledge
