Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking Production Forklift Operators to support manufacturing operations in Brockport, NY. This role is responsible for safely operating forklifts to supply production lines with raw materials, packaging materials, and other production necessities to ensure daily schedules are met. The ideal candidate has forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position offers the opportunity for permanent hire based on performance and business needs.
Pay Rate:
- $20.21 – $22.21/hour
- $1.00/hour Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
- $2.00/hour Shift Differential for 3rd Shift
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate electrically powered sit-down forklifts
- Supply production lines with raw materials, vegetables, packaging materials, and other required inventory
- Transport materials throughout the facility to support production schedules
- Load, unload, and stage materials as needed
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory tracking and material movement
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions and documentation
- Support warehouse and production teams as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Proven forklift experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Experience operating sit-down forklifts preferred
- Ability to use RF scanners
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable transportation required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and production conditions
- Must be comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments for portions of the shift
- Frequent forklift operation throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform material handling tasks as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
- Overtime opportunities available during peak production periods
- Must follow all PPE, food safety, and workplace safety requirements at all times
